It’s that time of year again! Summer Belly Dance Bootcamp is almost here! And not only do we have our usual two bootcamps to choose from, this summer there is three! Join in on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays! Please bring all your own props, such as a yoga mat, blanket, towel, water bottle, and two smaller sized dumbbells. Classes will be offered in person, as well as online through Zoom live stream and Email video recordings. Limited Availability-Only 10 students maximum in each class for in person attendance.
SHIMMY STRENGTH Mondays 6:30pm-8pm July 27th-August 24th This is a belly dance fitness class designed for all levels of dancers, from brand new students to advanced performers. We will focus on cardio, strength training and flexibility to improve endurance, coordination and balance. We will target a different area of the body each week, not only by working out, but with belly dance moves! Let’s have fun while we get our sweat on. Shimmy, stretch, & strengthen all in 90mins, with this fast paced, easy to follow class. Join in for a slightly different workout each week.
BEGINNING LEVEL Tuesdays 6:30pm-8pm July 28th-August 25th Belly Dance Boot Camp is the perfect quick & fun introduction to Belly Dance. This 5-week class covers the beginning level basics and fundamentals of belly dance. Focusing on drills, isolations, steps, and yes, workouts to make you sweat. This is a very "technique" based belly dance class, combined with yoga, cardio, strength building, and muscle toning to take your dancing to it's maximum potential. Come join me for some hot and spicy summer drills.
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED LEVEL Thursdays 6:30pm-8pm July 30th-August 27th Prop Camp! This year we will diving into the beautiful world of prop use in belly dance. Each week working with a different prop, drilling moves, discussing concepts, and of course, learning mini choreographies. But don't think you won't work up a sweat! We will be starting each class with an entire body warm up, involving yoga, cardio exercises, and strength building! Week 1-Finger Cymbals Week 2-Veil Week 3-Fan Veils Week 4-Assaya/Cane Week 5-Sword Please bring your own props, or arrange prior to class to borrow props from Cassandra or another class mate.

NOTE TO STUDENTS-THIS IS IN PLACE OF REGULAR CLASSES. NORMALLY SCHEDULED CLASSES WILL BE ON BREAK FROM JUNE 30th-JULY 24th. FALL SESSION WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER 3rd!
Covid-19: Please Review our "Studio Procedures" for in person class requirements. Here is a general list of what to expect/information.
-If you or anyone in your household has been sick, feverish, coughing, fatigue, etc, please stay home.
-Masks are heavily encouraged, but not required, please be respectful to everyone about their choice to wear one or not.
-Try to pay and fill out paperwork online, instead of in person.
-Pre-class registration required, and will be signed in on arrival.
-The building doors are now locked 24/7, please arrive 5-10min before class to be let into the building, if you are later than 10min after class start time there may not be anyone available to let you in the building.
-Students must wash hands or use hand sanitizer when arriving and before leaving the studio.
-Students will arrive at the glass doors on state street, go down the stairs to the studio, and up the elevator when leaving.
-Social distancing will be in place, 6ft apart, and there will be markers on the floor to indicate your dance space.
-Please attempt to limit your use of the restroom, touching surfaces, and touching each other.
-Dance shoes are recommended to keep feet clean.
-Bring your own props for classes. If you need to borrow props you will be required to clean them afterwards.
-Bring your own water bottle, and have it filled at home before you arrive.
-Please try not hang out in the lobby area before and after classes.
-Instructor/employees will be wearing masks.
-Social distancing signs and requirements marked off and in place.
-Cleaning/sanitizing surfaces daily, as well as in between classes.
-General cleaning/sanitizing of studio daily/weekly.
-Keeping track of student attendance for contact tracing.
-Limited class sizes.
