Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm This is a Beginning Level yoga class. Grounding the fundamentals gently and slowly. Building balance and strength while focusing on ease and breath with each pose. This class will touch of yogic philosophy and pranayama.
Tuesdays 5pm-6pm Therapeutic Hatha is a level 1/beginning level class perfect for those looking for a light workout that incorporates physical therapy exercises and conditioning, while building towards a peak asana.
Thursdays 5pm-6pm In this level 1 flow class we will be implementing vinyasa flow to our Hatha practice. Linking breath with movement while working on strength and flexibility. This energizing class will pump you up and then cool you down to get you ready for the weekend.
Things you should know
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE? Being on time is important. Try to arrive to class about 5 to 10 minutes early. This allows you time to sign in, wash your hands, find a place, and speak with your instructor if you need to. Additionally, the building will be locked. Enter through the glass doors on State Street. Someone will be there to let you in. It is important that you do your best to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes in order for someone to let you in. If you do not arrive on time, someone will be up about 10 minutes after class begins to let anyone who is late into the building. If you more than 10 minutes late, there is no guarantee that someone will be upstairs to let you in. I apologize for any inconvenience
WHAT DO I WEAR TO CLASS? Wear comfortable workout clothes. You might want to wear layers just in case you get too warm or too chilly.
WHAT DO I BRING TO CLASS? Yoga mat and any props that you may want, such as blocks, straps or blankets.
WHO IS YOGA FOR? Yoga is great for everyone! Men and women of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds can benefit from a regular yoga practice.
WHAT IF I'M INJURED? First, make sure you have clearance to practice yoga from your doctor. You must be responsible for your own health. Once you have clearance, please just remind me that you are injured and make any necessary adjustments to movements.
